Freud wanted his patients to lie down on the couch, so they would not look at him all day. But, the real work is done in relation to one another.

Together, we’ll discover through your dreams, associations, fantasies, reactions, symptoms, and behavior how you got to be where you are today.

Eventually, you’ll be able to make choices that are no longer self-destructive or lead to maladaptive behaviors.

The 45-minute frame, 2 to 5 days a week, is set up to help you become aware of how simple statements can have profound implications for our understanding of the forces that drive and motivate us.

Psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic (often called psychodynamic) psychotherapy are designed to help people become aware of the unconscious forces and conflicts that underlie psychological and emotional distress.

Contemporary psychoanalytic therapy focuses on exploring one’s relationships, past, and present, including the therapeutic relationship that develops with the therapist over time.

Insights, the experience of a safe, benevolent relationship, and healing that comes out of therapy will provide you with a new framework.
